In the old days — the 1990's — it was difficult enough to set up a website that most people who owned one also knew how web pages work. Nowadays, it's common for the proud owner of a nice new website to have little or no understanding of how the darn thing works. For the most part, this is fine — most of us manage to drive competently without understanding how cars work. However, even website owners who are glad to hire help to build their sites often want to be able to make some changes on their own.
